The vessel is constructed to the "one off" method, wherein the hull is laid up from the inside out as opposed to the molded method in which the vessel is constructed from the outside in.
The hull is divided into three watertight compartments via transverse bulkheads. Exterior and working surfaces ard laid with work-type non-skid surfaces. The decks and pilot house are constructed of cored fiberglass. The main hatchway is fitted with two removable hinged teak doors. Slightly forward of the doorway structure are two vertical slots fitted into the doorframe which will accept hatch boards. The hatch itself is an Atkins & Hoyle aluminum unit with 2-dog positive closure. |
